There should be another “Spider-Man” trilogy

What’s next for Tom Holland after “Spider-Man: No Way Home”? Apparently he will appear as a superhero in other films.
It was previously assumed that Tom Holland (25) would no longer be able to play the Spider-Man in the future, it now seems as if at least three more films with the Briton as a superhero are planned after “Spider-Man: No Way Home” . “This is not the last movie we’ll make with Marvel – [dies ist nicht] the last Spider-Man movie, “says producer Amy Pascal (63) in conversation with “Fandango”.
“We are preparing for the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel,” explains Pascal. Think of the current series as three films, “and now we’re going to do three next. This is not the last of our MCU films.” Marvel and Sony will therefore continue to work together as partners.
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” hits theaters on December 15th. In addition to Holland, Zendaya (25), Jacob Batalon (25), Benedict Cumberbatch (45), Jon Favreau (55) and Marisa Tomei (56) can be seen in it. The 25-year-old previously played the superhero in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home”. Holland has also played superheroes in other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Holland wanted to keep playing Spider-Man
In February he had explained in an interview with “Collider”that his contract as Spider-Man after “No Way Home” expires. The actor had always emphasized to those responsible that he would be there again immediately if you wanted to. “I loved every minute that I was part of this incredible world,” said Holland. The role had a positive impact on his life.
Few weeks later the 25-year-old had confirmed to “GQ” againthat his contract was expiring and had not yet been extended at least in mid-April. He said at the time that he was hoping for a corresponding call.
