Tom Selleck's colleague Donnie Wahlberg already set a good example in January. Now he too gave a decent tip.

The trend started at the beginning of the year. Singer and actor Donnie Wahlberg, 51, continued the operation in Illinois and Massachusetts after a waitress at a Michigan restaurant received a tip of $ 2,020 in January. Now his "Blue Bloods – Crime Scene New York" colleague Tom Selleck (75, "Magnum") followed Wahlberg's good example and also left the same considerable sum in New York City – without telling anyone about it.

Tom Selleck hopes for "a better 2020"

"I am accepting the 'Tip Challenge' of my friend Donnie Wahlberg in the honest hope for a better 2020", was written on a note that Selleck enclosed with his bill and the Wahlberg on Wednesday evening (23 December) shared with his Twitter followers. The whole thing happened in November in Elio's restaurant on the Upper East Side of the Big Apple, as "People" learned from the New-Kids-on-the-Block singer: "Tom never mentioned it to me."

Donnie Wahlberg to Tom Selleck: "Love you, Dad"

Selleck and Wahlberg play father and son in "Blue Bloods". In his message to the short message service, the brother of actor Mark Wahlberg (49, "Lone Survivor") thanked the legendary TV star with the words "Love you, Dad".
