It’s official, Tommy Dorfman, star of the series “13 Reasons Why” and Peter Zurkuhlen are divorcing after several years of relationship.
The ex-husband of the actress launched divorce proceedings on Tuesday, February 1, in a Los Angeles court, reveals the American site TMZ. The couple had separated several months ago.
This summer, the 29-year-old actress, who played gay teenager Ryan Shaver in the hit series, came out as transgender in an interview with Time. During the interview, she also announced her breakup with Peter Zurkuhlen.
“I had a relationship with a gay man for nine years during which I was thought to be a man. I love him very much, but we discovered that as a transgender woman, I no longer necessarily reflect the image of a homosexual man, ”she said in particular.
Followed by more than 1.5 million people on Instagram, Tommy Dorfman first met Peter Zurkuhlen in 2005 through a mutual friend. They got engaged in April 2015 before saying “I do” in Portland in November 2016.
