Tomorrow belongs to us: “I was super sick”, Salomé Benitha (Violette) tells about her complicated casting

In “Tomorrow belongs to us”, Violette has been at the center of the plot for several weeks. His interpreter, Salomé Benitha, recounted his audition for this role. A cast that fate has made somewhat complicated.

What secret are Sara’s uncle and aunt hiding in Tomorrow belongs to us? What happened to the real Violet? And who is the teenager that Didier and Angélique (Laëtitia Milot) have passed off as their daughter for almost fifteen years?

These questions, at the heart of the summer intrigue “Little sister” of Tomorrow belongs to us, are about to find answers in the daily soap opera of TF1. And nothing will ever be the same for Violette (Salomé Benitha), Sara (Camille Genau), but also Damien (Adrien Rob), who is unexpectedly linked to the secret of the Raynauds.

Salomé Benitha recounts her unusual casting for the role of Violette

If the promotion of this summer ark was obviously made around the exceptional presence of Laëtitia Milot (Plus belle la vie) as a guest in the role of Angélique Raynaud, the young Salomé Benitha quickly established herself as the one of the central faces of the episodes of Tomorrow belongs to us broadcast this summer on the front page.

Like most of her acting partners, Salomé Benitha joined the cast of the soap opera by way of casting. The young woman had to audition to hope to land the role of Violette Raynaud, but this first casting step did not go as planned.

“I was super sick, I had a fever of 40. So I couldn’t go to the casting in person”explained the interpreter of Violette to Entertainment TV. Refusing to let her chance pass, she opted for a plan B and made the choice to send a self-tape to the casting director of Tomorrow belongs to us.

“I made a video with the help of my agent and my best friend”continued Salomé Benitha at the microphone of our colleagues. “After a few weeks of waiting, my agent made a joke to me by telling me that we had to redo a video for a call-back. I’m leaving to go to his house, but in the meantime, on the way , I get a congratulatory message from the casting director. When I get to my agent, I ask him if he played a joke on me and he replies ‘Oh crap, I wanted to surprise you!'”.

Salomé Benitha appeared in John Wick 4!

Trained at Cours Florent and Studio Artifex, Salomé Benitha obtained, thanks to Tomorrow belongs to us, her first major role on screen. Before that, she had appeared in a few short films and a few clips, including “Après vous Madame” by Gims. But also in a very big American production with Keanu Reeves.

The interpreter of Violette in the soap opera of TF1 indeed holds a very small role in the film John Wick: Chapter 4, released last March in theaters. “I made a small furtive appearance in it. It was very impressive”she told Télé Loisirs. “With one of my best friends, who is also an actress, we were offered small roles in the film. It was filmed in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris. We were 100 or 200 actors, I couldn’t even say. ( …) It was another world, we saw behind the scenes of Hollywood”.
