Tomorrow belongs to us: what bond unites Lisa and Benoît?

Last night in “Tomorrow belongs to us”, Lisa found an old acquaintance in the person of Benoît, Agnès Varda’s new SVT teacher. But what bond unites them?

Warning, this article contains many spoilers on the next episodes of Tomorrow belongs to us. If you don’t want to know anything, don’t read on!

The return of the “Monster of Argenteuil”, a serial killer who targets couples in conflict, brought back the tragic past of Lisa (Naïma Rodric) in Tomorrow belongs to us.

While she plunges back into painful memories to corner the one who murdered her parents, the policewoman receives a visit from an old acquaintance who is none other than a character who has just made his debut in the daily soap opera of TF1. Indeed, it is Benoît (Jean-Baptiste Maunier), the new professor of SVT of Agnès Varda.

In the episode broadcast yesterday on TF1, Lisa was quietly reading in her living room when she heard a noise on her terrace. On leaving, she then came face to face with Benoît. Without exchanging a word, Lisa and Benoît immediately hugged. A gesture that obviously raises questions.

Friends or lovers? This is necessarily the first question that comes to mind. Either way, Lisa and Benoît are bound by a common tragedy.

Landed recently in Tomorrow belongs to us, Benoît is a rather shy man. Beneath his sensitive airs, Agnès Varda’s new teacher actually hides a painful past.

On this subject, Jean-Baptiste Maunier, his interpreter, confided in the columns of Télé 2 Semaines, “Benoît has been an orphan since the age of 17 and is a childhood friend of Lisa and Amel“.

However, the story goes much further than that since Benoît is the only son of the first couple murdered by the Argenteuil monster. A terrible event at the origin of his meeting with Lisa.

Benoît lost his parents in the same city and around the same time as Lisa“, explains the actor to our colleagues before continuing, “They were traumatized by these tragedies which brought them closer. Lisa will allow Benoît to integrate into Sète“.

United by the same tragedy, will Benoît help Lisa to corner the Argenteuil monster? All the answers will follow in the sequel to Tomorrow belongs to us!
