When the ugly Monstars – treacherous little aliens from Moron Mountain – land in the underworld of Looney Tunes and threaten to capture Looney Tunes as their park’s main attraction, the situation is dire. In order to get out of this trap, Bugs Bunny and his friends challenge the little invaders: play a game of basketball.
If the Looney Tunes win, they will be out of the woods, but if the Monstars are declared the winners, they can carry out their disastrous project. To put the odds on their side, Warner’s animated mascots decide to use drastic measures and call on the greatest player of all time: Michael Jordan.
Released in theaters in 1997, in the middle of a decade particularly rich in nostalgic nuggets for the spectators who forged their first memories there, Space Jam is one of those films that you cannot forget when you grow up. before.
Combining live action and traditional animation, like Mary Poppins and especially Who Framed Roger Rabbit (released 8 years earlier and in which we could already see the Looney Tunes), this feature film by Joe Pytka marks the first real adventure for Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the other Warner heroes on the big screen.

True to their reputation, with a lot of visual gags of all kinds, the members of the famous little band will never stop making us laugh from the beginning to the end of the film. But to this omnipresent humor are added other qualities: a truly threatening villain, as only the 90s could offer us, and a first-class soundtrack, punctuated by the songs of Seal or Technotronic.
What they will like:
- The ubiquitous jokes of our animated friends, who compete in ingenuity to amuse us. Special mention to Taz, to Sam the pirate, and of course to Tweety and Grominet.
- The basketball sequences, and in particular the final match, very well paced and immersive.

- Mr. Swackhammer, the great villain of the film, with his big cigar and his Machiavellian plan.
