Son of designers, Gaspard Ulliel was destined for directing before breaking into the camera in the early 2000s. On several occasions during his career, he distinguished himself in historical films: from the Pact of the Wolves to the Egarés, passing of course by A long engagement Sunday or Jacquou le croquant, but also The Princess of Montpensier, Saint Laurent, The Dancer and Just the end of the world.
In 2018, Gaspard Ulliel starred in four feature films, including the ambitious Un Peuple et son roi, retracing the French Revolution from 1789 to 1793. Alongside Adèle Haenel, the talented actor lends his features to Basile , a young revolutionary.
