Tonight on TV: have you ever seen Jonathan Cohen as a mustachioed policeman?

Every day, AlloCiné recommends a film to (re)watch on TV. This evening: an adventure comedy carried by Catherine Deneuve, Jonathan Cohen and Vincent Dedienne.

Revealed to the eyes of the general public thanks to the role of Hassan in the series Les Invincibles in 2010, Jonathan Cohen continues to play supporting roles, particularly in comedies, until he becomes a leading actor in this register.

At the same time, he achieved unexpected success thanks to his role as Serge le Mytho in the Bloqués series, to the point of obtaining a spin-off devoted to his character.

2020 is his year with the release of no less than three comedies: Tout Simplement Noir by Jean-Pascal Zadi, Énorme where he plays opposite Marina Foïs, and Terrible Jungle, a first feature film, co-directed by Hugo Benamozig and David Caviglioli.

The duo, who have known each other since the age of 16, were inspired by the story of a mutual friend, an anthropologist who went through hell when he left to study a tribe in Bolivia, to write the screenplay for Terrible Jungle :

Eliott, a somewhat naive anthropologist, goes deep into the Guyanese jungle to study the Otopis. They discover a tribe of brigands in cahoots with gold traffickers, very far from what he imagined.

Meanwhile, his mother, Chantal de Bellabre, a tyrannical and possessive woman, organizes an expedition to find him, with the local gendarmerie platoon, led by the incompetent Lieutenant-Colonel François-Yves Raspaillès.

Jonathan Cohen thus forms a hilarious duo with Catherine Deneuve, completing an amazing cast that also includes Vincent Dedienne, Alice Belaïdi and Estéban.

Want another TV tip for tonight? We recommend an old-school movie reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock.
