TotalEnergies: agreements signed with the Sultanate of Oman


(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies announces an agreement for the creation of Marsa LNG, an integrated joint venture between the French group (80%) and Oman National Oil Company, OQ (20%), which will produce natural gas from block 10, with a view to subsequently developing an LNG plant in Sohar.

A concession agreement on block 10 has also been signed to develop and produce natural gas from this block, in which Marsa LNG will hold a 33.19% stake, with its partners OQ and Shell Integrated Gas Oman (operator) .

Finally, a gas sales contract provides that Marsa LNG will sell its natural gas production from block 10 to the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, for a period of 18 years or until the start-up of the Marsa LNG plant.
