(CercleFinance.com) – Plastic Energy and TotalEnergies announce the signing of a new agreement to promote the technology of chemical recycling of plastics.
Plastic Energy will build its second chemical recycling plant in Seville to transform, through their patented process, plastic waste into a recycled raw material called ‘TACOIL’.
This raw material will then be transformed by TotalEnergies into polymers with properties identical to those of virgin polymers, and in particular compatible with food use.
The plant will have a processing capacity of 33,000 tonnes of post-consumer plastic waste.
The TACOIL produced will be used in the manufacture of high quality polymers in TotalEnergies’ production units based in Europe.
