Traffic jam on A10 – two injured after car rollover near Werfen

The 21-year-old German lost control of his van in the middle of the construction site after feeling harassed by another vehicle. The driver and his 51-year-old passenger were taken to the Schwarzach hospital with minor injuries. The Tauern Autobahn (A10) had to be completely closed in the direction of Villach.

On Sunday afternoon, around 4:15 p.m., the car overturned in the construction area just before the Zetzenberg tunnel. The Red Cross went out and took the two slightly injured people to the hospital in Schwarzach. The 21-year-old driver stated that he felt threatened by another car. He then left the road on the right and got into the construction site facilities. Volunteer firefighters from Pfarrwerfen and Werfen went to the scene of the accident together with a towing company to recover the car and clean the area. The accident happened in the Werfen tunnel chain and the motorway construction site for considerable traffic jams and loss of time. The direction of travel to Villach had to be completely closed to traffic until just before 6 p.m.
