A 15-year-old girl was killed with a shot from a shotgun on Saturday.
The tragedy occurred in the afternoon in a house in San Felice del Benaco on Lake Garda in northern Italy. As reported by local media, a father and his son (13) wanted to show his older sister the hunting rifle. This led to the unwanted firing of a shot. The projectiles hit the victim in the chest. The girl was therefore immediately dead.
Gun owner is ex-city councilor
At first it was suspected that the father had fired the fatal shot. During interrogation on Sunday night, however, it turned out that the son had pulled the trigger and thus killed his own sister.
Legally, however, the father of the two children will still have to answer for the drama. The man is a former city councilor and coroner. (cat)
