Tronics: Return to profits in the first half

(CercleFinance.com) – Tronic’s Microsystems announced Friday evening that it had returned to profit during the first half of its 2023-2024 financial year, that is to say between April 1 and September 30.

The sensor manufacturer’s turnover amounted to 6.85 million euros, up 8% compared to the same period in 2022-2023, driven by the growth of its manufacturing activities.

The consolidated operating profit from continuing activities stood at 0.64 million euros, compared to +0.47 million a year earlier, the improvement in operational performance having more than offset the negative impact of price increases on raw materials and energy.

The TDK subsidiary posted a net profit of 2.17 million euros, compared with a loss of 3.1 million euros over the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

For the second half of 2023-2024, Tronics says it anticipates a drop in its turnover compared to the first half of 2023-2024, while expecting growth in its activity at an annual rate compared to the 2022-2023 financial year, in despite the instability of the global economy in a context of monetary tightening.

Tronics indicates that it plans to launch new products, which should make it possible to increase sales of MEMS products, particularly for high value-added industrial applications.
