Try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world with New Cycle

A post-apocalyptic base building game, that’s what Core Engage offers us with its game New Cycle. Associated with Daedalic Entertainment, the studio reveals the gameplay of its title whose release in early access is scheduled for this year on Steam. In the meantime, a demo will be available during Steam Next Fest, starting June 19, 2023.

The story takes place after the Earth is hit by a violent solar flare. The planet’s magnetic field has collapsed and temperatures are rising dangerously. From now on, only the northern hemisphere is still a habitable zone for what is left of humanity.

At the head of a colony of survivors, your role will be to transform what was basically just a small fort into a truly prosperous metropolis. The missions will be numerous ranging from the discovery of vital resources for your colony to the management of your relations with the neighboring colonies. You will have to make difficult but necessary decisions for everyone’s survival. Especially since the world around you does not intend to let you wisely live at your own pace. Many events, sometimes destructive, will be there to punctuate your game. You will therefore have to face both political and natural threats to ensure the survival of your colony.
