TUNIS, March 5 (Reuters) – Tunisia’s interior minister said on Saturday that security forces had foiled a planned terrorist attack and that a female jihadist had been arrested.
In a press release, the minister indicated that the investigators believed that the jihadist planned to kidnap the children of members of the security forces and the army to obtain the release of prisoners accused of acts of terrorism.
She is also suspected of having prepared an attack on a building of the security forces with an explosive belt. (Report Tarek Amara, French version Matthieu Protard)
