Summer 1948: Life in Altena in the Sauerland was hard after the long years of war. But the sisters Ulla (Elisa Schlott), Gundel (Vanessa Loibl) and Margot (Anna Maria Mühe) are now in an exuberant mood. The youngest, Ulla, turns daredevil Tommy (David Schütter). Meanwhile, the accountant Gundel has in mind the numbers of her father's company, Metallwerke Wolf. The oldest sister Margot looks after son Winne (Maurice Fuchs). Her husband Fritz (Bernd-Christian Althoff) has not yet returned home after the war. Company boss Eduard Wolf (Thomas Sarbacher) is put under pressure by the weakened workers. Food is scarce. They are on strike, led by Tommy.

Alex (Ina Paule Klink) finds an amateur porn video of herself on the Internet. She immediately asks her godfather Wilsberg (Leonard Lansink) for help before her boss learns about it and her career breaks up. During his research, Wilsberg comes across the machinations of an online sex portal. One of the operators seduces young women and secretly films the lovemaking. Then he puts the videos on the Internet. When one of the two entrepreneurs is found dead, Alex is himself targeted by the investigation – she would have a motive to eliminate her tormentor.
