Twisted Metal: The reboot would no longer be entrusted to Lucid Games (Destruction All-Stars), but to another internal studio

Series Twisted Metal is clearly set to return to the forefront, with rumors of a reboot as well as a TV series, with Anthony Mackie as John Doe. Last year, VGC we learned from his sources that the reboot had been entrusted to Lucid Games, to whom we owe the recent All-Stars Destruction, but according to the same site today, we discover that the project would have been withdrawn from the hands of the studio to be entrusted to another first-party studio at PlayStation.

The project goes to a studio whose identity we do not know

The reboot had been entrusted last year to Lucid Games if we are to believe the site, but since then development has ceased, before being withdrawn from the English studio. Sony would then have decided to entrust the reboot to an internal studio, which would be based in Europe.. Which one is still a mystery.

VGC then states that most sources have no explanation for this studio change, but one person indicates that poor critical and commercial reception of All-Stars Destruction could be the cause. The new studio, still unknown, would have started work on this reboot, which is scheduled to be released around the broadcast of the series, scheduled for 2023.
