An animal transporter overturned on Sunday evening on the Westautobahn (A1) between Haag and Oed (Amstetten district) and caught fire. The lane in the direction of Vienna was then completely blocked. Two people were injured. There were no animals in the transporter.
The vehicle overturned around 8:30 p.m. at kilometer 140 for reasons that are still unclear, came to rest across the road and caught fire. Both lanes and the hard shoulder were blocked. The two occupants, an approximately 50-year-old man and a woman of unknown age, were brought to the Amstetten State Hospital with injuries.
