Today, Sunday, in the morning, a motorcyclist collided with an e-biker in Vorau (municipality of Dorfbeuern). Both men were taken to the trauma hospital.
The 77-year-old from Flachgau drove his motorcycle on the Berndorfer Landesstraße in the direction of Berndorf. When the 66-year-old driver of the e-bike wanted to switch from the bike path to the main road in this area, the motorcycle handlebar hit him behind. A car driving between the two people involved in the accident could have blocked the motorcycle driver’s view. Both drivers from Flachgau were wearing helmets, but were still injured in the accident. While the motorcycle driver sustained minor injuries, the cyclist was seriously injured. Both men were taken to the Salzburg University Hospital. Alcohol tests did not reveal any alcoholization.
