Tyrolean (24) caught – withdrawn money with stolen ATM cards

The police in Telfs in Tyrol arrested a suspected burglar. The 24-year-old Austrian is said to have stolen jewelry, electrical items and a wallet from an apartment on Monday night. With one of the residents’ mopeds, he drove to an ATM and withdrew money there.

Between midnight and 4:30 a.m., the initially unknown person got into the apartment in Telfs. “From this he stole various pieces of jewellery, several electronic items and other objects as well as a wallet with two ATM cards,” according to the police Residents in operation and, according to previous knowledge, drove it to an ATM in Telfs. “There, the Austrian used the stolen ATM cards to make several withdrawals in the low four-digit euro amount,” said the investigators. The deeds resulted in total damage of more than 10,000 euros. Taken to prisonThe executive was finally able to investigate the 24-year-old. The stolen items were found during a voluntary inspection of his apartment. “Among other things, a small amount of cannabis and an ampoule of testosterone were secured,” the police emphasized. The suspect confessed in the course of an initial questioning and was taken to the Innsbruck prison by order of the public prosecutor’s office.
