Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he discussed Thursday with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron an “acceleration of the peace process” in his country, amid fears of a Russian offensive.
“Continued dialogue with @EmmanuelMacron on the fight against security challenges and an acceleration of the peace process within the framework of the Normandy format”, bringing together Russia and Ukraine with mediation from France and Germany, tweeted Mr. Zelensky after an interview with Mr. Macron.

A constructive dialogue
“A constructive dialogue continued on the issues of Ukraine and the Russian initiative to establish long-term legal guarantees regarding the security of the Russian Federation,” the Kremlin said in a statement, again referring to the ” provocations” by Ukrainian leaders.
