The investigation focuses on Anne Aguerra
In the early morning, Anne Aguerra was summoned to the police station. It must be said that Captain Léoni discovered that she regularly spent her evenings in a hotel with men other than her husband. Embarrassed, Anne ends up admitting to him that she spent the evening with a stranger at the time of the burglary. She also specifies that her husband was aware of her infidelities. However, she assures that she has nothing to do with the home jacking and even less with the death of her husband.
Meanwhile, Thaïs confides in Maéva about the discussion she had with Arnaud the day before. If Maéva thinks that her friend did the right thing to clear things up with him, Thaïs regrets and fears for her part having ruined everything between them. Maéva, who finds that she is being a bit dramatic, is certain that they will become friends again over time.
For his part, Alex found the stolen van on a vacant lot outside the city and the scientific police are on site to take some samples.
Not far from there, Anne meets Florent at his office and then tells him about her interview with Captain Léoni. While the lawyer criticizes her for not having told him the whole truth, Anne certifies that Philippe was aware of her escapades and that he accepted the situation. From now on, Anne fears that the police are interested in her private life instead of looking for the real culprits. Florent therefore advises him to tell Arnaud the truth before the police do it for him.
Back home, Anne confesses the whole truth to Arnaud. A hard blow for the young man who always knew that his stepmother had married his father only for his money. Even though she swears that this is not the case, Arnaud refuses to believe her.
At the police station, Manu and Commissioner Becker take stock of the investigation. According to Manu, Anne could very well have spoken about Philippe’s safe to a lover and he would like to explore this lead. That’s when Alex joins them to inform them that he managed to identify the driver of the van using the city’s surveillance cameras.
Elisabeth makes her mea culpa
In the morning, Catherine calls Boris in the hope of resolving the situation. Although she understands her anger, the latter nevertheless believes that allying with Elisabeth will not solve anything. Indeed, Catherine is certain that the businesswoman is using her son to serve her own interests. According to her, she will dispossess them of everything they have. Boris, who doesn’t believe it at all, reminds him that they spent their time using him before declaring that it’s now over.
For his part, Alain asks Élisabeth if she invited Flore and Tiago to dinner only to please him. The businesswoman confirms this but says she really wants it. Even if there were tensions between her and Flore, Élisabeth recognizes that she has her share of responsibility in this story and would like to be forgiven. Élisabeth also takes advantage of this discussion to make her mea culpa. Although Alain’s infidelity hurt her enormously, Élisabeth recognizes that if she had been there more often, all this would never have happened. In the future, Élisabeth promises to be much more vigilant even if she risks having a lot of work in the coming weeks. Once he takes her in his arms, Alain promises to wait for her.
Meanwhile, François asks Laurine to speak to her brother but the young woman refuses, believing that it would be of no use. She then makes her father understand that they went too far with him and that they lost him.
At L. Cosmétiques, Élisabeth announces to Berthier and Léonor that she remains president of BNL Innovation and that Boris will be her deputy director. A relief for the company’s employees.
François asks Claudine to find a solution to cancel the merger. Claudine then makes him understand that he has no other choice but to reconnect with Élisabeth in order to define common ground.
At the end of the day, Laurine calls her brother and tells him that the situation at home is catastrophic. This is why she begs him to reconcile with their parents so that it stops. However, Boris retorts that he doesn’t want to see them anymore before hanging up.
