JOHANNA’S TRAP WORKS

At the station, prosecutor Bernier hands commissioner Becker a file containing evidence that could bring down Alexandre Delarive. These are exchanges of emails between the Delarive agency and the BLG firm about backdated contracts. Two designers would have worked for Delarive in 2020 and signed their contract just after the launch of the preliminary investigation. A very curious fact in the eyes of the commissioner. The latter also understands that Delarive rushed to clean up with the complicity of his ex-wife. When he tries to find out how he managed to get these emails, Bernier replies that it was Claudine who sent them to him. He is therefore counting on him to seize this opportunity. Without waiting, Becker gives the file to Lieutenant Cross.

Subsequently, Yann summons one of the two designers. During his interrogation, he reveals that Delarive stole one of his ideas. At the end of 2019, the young man had sent plans for a prototype of hi-fi furniture to the Delarive agency. Six months later, the piece of furniture was in the agency’s catalog. Pure and hard plagiarism according to him. The designer did try to harass Alexandre, but the latter denied it completely. However, the designer ended up giving up for fear of getting fried in the middle.

Later, the policeman meets Margot Gallet, Delarive’s supplier. Faced with the tenacity of Lieutenant Cross, she admits that Delarive’s lawyer put pressure on her to change her testimony. Yann then promises to do everything to corner him.

In turn, Alexandre Delarive is summoned to the police station. Assisted by his lawyer, he continues to deny the charges against him. Lieutenant Cross therefore informs them that he has in his possession exchanges between the designers, the Delarive agency and the BLG firm. A blow for them.

Leaving the police station, Delarive criticizes Claudine for having sent evidence against her to the court. If she disputes it, the lawyer does not however manage to understand what happened. Only, Delarive doesn’t care and insults him before swearing to destroy his reputation.

Back at the firm, Claudine takes it out on Margot because she is convinced that it was she who slipped private email exchanges into the file. Margot may assure the contrary, Claudine puts her nerves on her. At the same time, Johanna attends the scene from the meeting room and is jubilant.

On returning home, Johanna is in a good mood, which did not escape Yann who understood very well that it was she who trapped Claudine. As he fears that she will be expelled from the bar, Johanna clarifies that there is no proof that it was she who slipped the documents into the Delarive file. And in the worst case, Johanna has no intention of letting it go.

MANU INHERITS A NEW SURVEY

In the early morning, Hélène receives a visit from David. Pained by Claire’s suspicions about her, she confides in her friend and says that she regrets having believed that they had become friends again. Indeed, she bitterly realizes that she has underestimated the nurse’s hatred but above all that she has screwed up on the whole line on this relationship. David does try to reassure her and encourage her to stop beating herself up, but without success. Hélène knows full well that what she has done is unforgivable.

At the police station, Superintendent Becker gives Manu and Alex the file of Laurence Roussillon, a jewelry thief in her fifties. The latter was serving a seven-year prison sentence and never returned from her leave when she only had six months left before her release. On the run for ten days, the judge indicted her for escape.

For her part, Claire calls Christian and questions him about the exchange he had with Victor shortly before his disappearance. Although he doesn’t really have time to discuss, the art dealer explains that they talked about Hélène and their story which ended badly. He also specifies that Victor seemed to take Hélène’s happiness very seriously. Claire would like to know more but Christian gets impatient then ends up putting an end to their conversation.

Afterwards, he calls Alix to tell her that he gave Claire a soft version of his last exchange with Victor. Alix then hopes it will work because they don’t need it right now. Reassuring, Christian cannot however guarantee that Claire will not return to the charge.

Later, Alix announces to Ulysses that Claire will not report them to the police. A relief for the young artist.

At the end of the day, Claire tells Hélène about the discussion she had with Christian. Not really convinced, she has the feeling that he hasn’t told her everything. Hélène therefore confirms to him that he is a liar and a manipulator. Moreover, Hélène does not understand why Alix did not tell her about the meeting between Victor and Christian. Claire then says she is certain that Christian and Alix are hiding something from them.

At the same time, Commissioner Becker and Manu take stock of the Roussillon investigation and Captain Léoni discovered that the detainee was exchanging emails with a few people living around Montpellier. As Victor’s name appears on this list, Becker summons Manu to dig this track.
