Tuesday, September 27 in Such a big sun…
EVA THREATENS CHRISTOPHE
At the veterinary office, Christophe receives a call from Eva who accuses him of having killed her husband. He may claim to have done what was necessary to save him, but Eva refuses to believe him and warns him that he will pay dearly for it before threatening to attack those close to him.
Panicked, the veterinarian immediately contacts Cécile. While he is reassured to hear her voice, the judge hears that her ex-companion is particularly stressed. Christophe then puts his attitude on the account of their separation. When Cécile invites him to dinner to discuss, Christophe declines on the pretext of having a lot of work.
Later, Christophe receives a call from Sylvain who tells him that Achille has been hospitalized following a BMX accident. On the spot, Janet informs him that the teenager is fine and that he comes out of it with a broken arm as well as a slight head trauma. Christophe then goes to Achille’s bedside. Faced with his concern, Sylvain tries to reassure him by reminding him that it is a simple accident. However, Christophe knows full well that he has been the victim of a terrible revenge and cannot help but feel guilty. This is why he asks Sylvain to watch over the young man tonight.
In the afternoon, Christophe goes to Cécile and tells her that Achille is in the hospital. He also takes this opportunity to tell Cécile how much he regrets having lied to her. As she tries to find out why he hid the truth from her, Christophe explains that he has done things he is not very proud of. He then claims to have embezzled money from his firm to give gifts to Achille and that he did not tell him about it to save him trouble. After asking him for forgiveness for all the harm he has done to her, Christophe begs Cécile to give him a second chance and to make a place for Achille in their lives. However, Cécile needs time to reflect.
At nightfall, Christophe waits for Cécile to fall asleep to enter her home and retrieve Eva’s address from her computer…
BECKER IS REluctant TO SCREENING FOR COLORECTAL CANCER
Returning from his bike ride, Becker discovers an envelope for colorectal cancer screening and immediately throws it in the trash. When she sees him doing it, Janette reminds him that it is important that he take this test. Due to her companion’s reluctance, however, Janet has no other choice than to seek Alain’s help.
The latter therefore takes advantage of a jog with Becker to talk to him about the importance of screening for colorectal cancer. The superintendent then ends up admitting to him that he is not afraid of the test but of the result that could come out of it. Alain reassures him on the subject and even manages to find the right arguments since Becker will do the test a few hours later.
