Un si grand soleil (spoilers): Will Akim and Noémie get back together?

On Friday the 12th in Un si grand soleil, Baptiste is questioned at the police station by Manu (Moïse Santamaria) and Akim (Aïssam Medhem), who continue to investigate the arson attack that took place at Mrs. Lebrun’s house. Several elements seem to point the finger at Baptiste, in particular his alcoholic statements at the local café according to which he had made a big mistake and had been humiliated by Madame Lebrun. In love with his client, Baptiste has also taken hundreds of photos of her without his knowledge found on his computer, with a draft love letter. The investigators therefore suspect him of having set fire to the house of Mrs. Lebrun after the latter rejected his advances. Baptiste’s ex-companion, also questioned, has in addition to that said he sometimes had trouble controlling himself. Baptiste denies burning down his client’s house and a flashback shows the rejection he suffered.

While he was in Mrs. Lebrun’s garden, Baptiste stopped to wish her a happy birthday before going out a gift from his pocket: a beautiful ring. Embarrassed, Pascale Lebrun refused her gift and her invitation to dinner, stressing that she is only his client and thathe made up his mind. Back in the present, Manu theorizes that Baptiste burned down his client’s house and then asked Rémi (Samuel Allain Abitbol) to pick up the empty weedkiller cans he used as fuel. While he assures that he couldn’t do that to Rémi, another flashback shows Baptiste severely yelling at him after he dropped pots of plants while heckling with Noah, calling him incompetent. After regretting having put his nerves on Rémi, Baptiste asks for a lawyer. For her part when she is questioned, Pascale Lebrun explains that she suspected that Baptiste had views on her, but that she would never have thought that he would spend hundreds of euros for a gift or that he would take her picture without her knowledge.

Akim and Noémie reconcile

Meanwhile, Jade (Shemss Audat) passes the day doing job interviews, without success. When she’s not getting rejected because of her record, it’s a harassing employer who makes advances to him… Annoyed, she is comforted by Ludo (Folco Marchi) who however has to leave her for an aperitif at the roommate with Bilal (Malik Elakehal El Miliani) and Akim. As you might expect, the mood between Ludo and Akim is still tense, even though they are both trying hard. But the evening is cut short when Akim, surprised, receives a message from Noémie (Lucile Krier). He finds the young woman at the bottom of the building and she explains to him that it was a “discussion” with her horse that convinced her to write to him. After this strange declaration, the couple reconciles…
