This evening, France 2 viewers witnessed the heartbreaking farewells of Ludo and Jade in Un si grand soleil. But will we see Shemss Audat, the interpreter of Jade, again in the series?
Happiness was once again short-lived for Jade (Shemss Audat) and Ludo (Folco Marchi) in Un si grand soleil.
Returning to Montpellier last summer to win back the man she loves, Jade was far from suspecting that a motorcycle theft would shatter the life she had worked so hard to build.
Actively sought by the police for a heist that she did not commit, the young woman had no choice but to flee the country to avoid returning to prison.
If Ludo had this time chosen to follow her on the run, Jade unfortunately decided to leave without him. Enough to give rise to a moving scene in the episode broadcast this Friday, January 26 and in which Jade will leave a heartbreaking farewell letter to Ludo.
But is Shemss Audat’s departure definitive? We asked Olivier Szulzynger, the creator and screenwriter of Un si grand soleil, the question during our visit to the series’ studios located in Vendargues a few days ago.
“It’s not a definitive departure”
“It’s not a definitive departure” he confirmed to us before continuing, “You should know that Shemss Audat tours a lot. Everyone loves him. It’s great for her. It’s difficult to imagine that she will be recurring full-time on Un si grand soleil. As cloning is not yet fully accepted, we are a bit stuck (laughs)“.
It therefore seems that it is the agenda of Shemss Audat, who will soon be in the casting of the romantic comedy Inès and Yvan for France 2, which explains this new departure of Jade, who had already left Montpellier in the past to better return.
Regardless, Olivier Szulzynger seems open to the idea of bringing Jade back into the series. “We haven’t yet written his return but he’s a character we really like. She brings us comedy and emotion. When there is an idea for a comeback, you have to take the angle with the actress and try to schedule things according to her schedule which is very busy because she is really very successful“.
