Although we don’t have an official announcement yet, it looks like the release date ofUncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is now known. Following a communication error from theEpic Games Storea number of people may have had access to this information.

A tentative release date
Already last month, one could find on the pages Steam of some highly anticipated games release dates that had not yet been officially announced. Among them, we can mention among others Hollow Knight: Silksong scheduled for February 28, 2028 (we still have no official information on this), and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection for the June 15, 2022.
Does the leak ofEpic Games corroborate this date? More or less. If the article announcing the 2022 releases is to be believed, Naughty Dog’s game is scheduled for the June 20, 2022. So we stay in the same waters, but we have two different dates. This potential leak only remained posted for a few minutes, any mention of a potential release date has now disappeared.
Since Epic Games will have exclusivity on the game and that this event is the most recent, one can imagine that the information coming from their site has more value than that from Steam last month. Since neither Sony nor the publisher has made an official statement yet, we must therefore continue to speak in the conditionalbut it looks like the Uncharted 4 collection is indeed available by the end of June on our PCs !
What future for Uncharted?
While Naughty Dog’s current strategy for its flagship license is primarily to remaster old games and to gradually expand to PC support, we can ask ourselves the question of their long-term vision. Indeed, this tactic to keep the series alive cannot be stretched out forever, it will one day have to come up with new content if they want it to thrive.
Uncharted fans know that the fourth installment is intended as an official end, it is in any case how the game was announced and built. However, a few days ago, we learned that recruitment was in full swing at Naughty Dog, thanks in particular to a recruiter who announced on LinkedIn that her project was to build teams for new titles. but also for “the legacy of Uncharted”.
Six years after the release of the last opus, can we expect a sequel or a spin-off? In any case, this is what the publisher is increasingly implying…
