Former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley announced on Wednesday that she was ending her campaign for the Republican nomination, adding that Donald Trump should “deserve the votes” of conservatives who did not vote for him.

Nikki Haley announced on Wednesday that she was ending her campaign for the Republican nomination for the US presidential election and assured that Donald Trump, now alone in the running for the right-wing party, should “deserve the votes” of voters who do not didn’t vote for him. “It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond who did not support him and I hope he will do it,” said Nikki Haley from Charleston (south -east), city in the state of South Carolina of which she was governor.

Trump and Biden call on Haley voters to join them

The 52-year-old Republican, former American ambassador to the UN, was largely defeated on Tuesday during the “Super Tuesday” primaries, during which former President Trump won 14 of the 15 states at stake among the Republicans. Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden have both called on Nikki Haley’s voters to join them.

The former president, who is expected to be named the Republican candidate at the party’s convention this summer, invited Nikki Haley’s supporters to join “the greatest movement in the history” of the United States while the Democrat , also almost assured of being there for the November presidential election for his party, affirmed that there was “a place for them” in his camp. Joe Biden also praised the “courage” of the Republican candidate for defying Donald Trump.
