(Boursier.com) — For the month of December 2021, the personal income of American households increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month, against +0.5% consensus and +0.5% a month before. Personal consumption expenditure fell by 0.6%, against -0.7% in FactSet consensus and +0.4% a month earlier. The so-called ‘core PCE’ adjusted price index rose 0.5% compared to the previous month, in line with expectations.

The index of the cost of employment in the USA for the fourth quarter, which has also just been revealed, appreciated by 1% compared to the previous quarter, against 1.2% of consensus. It increased by 4% over one year.
