Record company pauses Rammstein promotion
The public prosecutor’s office in Berlin is investigating Till Lindemann.

After the allegations against Till Lindemann, the record label Universal Music Germany distanced itself from the band Rammstein.
After it became known last Wednesday that the Berlin public prosecutor’s office had initiated investigations against Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann, 60, the band’s record label, Universal Music, has now drawn consequences. As a spokeswoman for the “Spiegel” confirmed, Universal Music Germany has “suspended the marketing and promotional activities for the band’s recordings until further notice”. The record company is not involved in the band’s current tour.

The official statement goes on to say: “The allegations against Till Lindemann shocked us and we have the greatest respect for the women who spoke out so courageously in this case.” Universal Music is “convinced that a full clarification of the allegations, also by the authorities, is absolutely necessary and must also be in the interest of the entire band”.
Berlin public prosecutor investigates Till Lindemann
On Wednesday, the Berlin public prosecutor announced that investigations had been initiated against Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann. It was about “accusations in the field of sexual offenses and the sale of narcotics”.
Several women, including Northern Ireland’s Shelby Lynn, had made allegations against Lindemann on social networks. At the band’s concerts, young women were “specifically” selected and invited to after-show parties. Sexual acts are also said to have taken place. Research by the NDR and the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” substantiated this. Lindemann rejects the allegations, his lawyer called them “without exception untrue”.
