Serums and creams are good and unfortunately expensive. But there are also damn good tips that hardly anyone has heard of. Why? Well, because they are not as sexy and elegant as a 100 euro cream that smells of virgin roses. Ready for 2 tips against wrinkles you’ve never heard of?

The motto for these 2 beauty secrets is good and cheap. Because if you don’t want to deal with the cosmos of different active ingredients, creams and serums, you still have two options for reducing wrinkles.

Unsexy, but awesome: blister plasters on your face

Blister plaster as a facial care gadget? Yes, really! The hydrocolloid patches recently made headlines because they are also a real miracle weapon against pimples. We are now misusing it again as Wrinkle sticker. The Americans have known the principle: inside for a little longer. Because the so-called “Facial Patches” are stickers that have already been cut to size and stuck directly onto the fold. So you pull the crease apart, stick the patch on it and leave the whole thing on it overnight. And that’s exactly how it works with blister plasters. You just have to cut them to size.

If you want to smooth out your frown lines, cut the blister plaster into slightly wider strips so that they cover the wrinkle over a large area. The plaster smooths the skin area after the first application. For long-term success, however, you have to do this regularly. A little hint: In the laptop camera you can hardly see the sticker in poor light. So this unsexy tip is even home office approved.
You can also use a physio tape. If you pull this off, however, it tears off a few more flakes of skin than we might like. The plasters are therefore the more gentle on the skin.

Even less sexy, but just as awesome: Vaseline

After we have taken care of the expression lines, it is now the turn of the dryness lines. You can fight them – very elegantly – with hyaluronic acid OR you slap petroleum jelly in the face. This tip is definitely not for people with acne, and certainly not for a hot night. But it is what it is: Vaseline is best for moisture-soaked skin.

In fact, it’s actually a Korean skincare trend. “Slugging“It is called when you seal the moisture with an occlusive balm as the last step in the facial care routine. An occlusive balm? That’s almost sexy again. But let’s call the child by name: The most waterproof occlusive balm is vaseline.

Our skin is constantly losing water, which can make it less elastic and dry. We use creams and serums to compensate for this loss of moisture. Vaseline differs from this: It acts like a kind of sealant, so that hardly any water / moisture can evaporate overnight. This process is called occlusion: the moisture is locked in, which prevents water loss. Marilyn Monroe is said to have sworn by this secret weapon!

tip: You can also just apply it to dry areas, wrinkles or around the eyes. If you opt for the whole face, you shouldn’t do it more than once a week because bacteria will also become trapped and this can otherwise lead to pimples.

So it doesn’t always have to be the most beautiful and elegant beauty product that really helps. These 2 tips are the best example of this!
