The person behind the YouTube channel Brick Technology obviously has the imagination and the talent to go along with it. And free time. In the aptly named video “ Can Lego Play the Drums », she gave herself the challenge of building a drum version drum machine.
Concretely, thanks to a system of mats, pegs and other moving mechanisms based on LEGO Technic, there is no longer any need for a drummer to produce the different sounds of a drum kit. The pegs trigger a Roland TD-9 sound module, while the Superior Drummer 3 software takes care of giving the instructions via MIDI.
