USA: Stagnant import prices in April


(CercleFinance.com) – According to the Department of Labor, import prices in the United States stagnated sequentially last month, after rising 2.9% in March. Excluding petroleum products, they nevertheless increased by 0.4% in April.

For their part, US export prices increased by 0.6% (+0.5% excluding agricultural products). Compared to April 2021, import and export prices climbed 12% and 18% respectively last month.
