Compulsory from the age of 16, the vaccination pass will be requested in many places. But some remain conditional on the simple health pass.
The transformation of the health pass into a vaccination pass was definitively adopted by Parliament on Sunday. It will therefore be necessary to justify a complete plan to access many public places. The government hopes that this new pass will be implemented around January 20.
Culture, leisure, sport, catering…
Proof of vaccination status will be requested instead of the current health pass to access: leisure activities (museums, cinemas, theatres, discotheques, concert halls, games rooms, sports halls and swimming pools, stadiums and enclosures sports, etc.), restaurants, bars and cafés (excluding collective catering), fairs, seminars and trade shows. Regarding shopping centers and department stores, the decision rests with the prefect.
To avoid fraud, the managers of places and activities subject to the pass, such as cafeterias and restaurateurs, will be able to check the passes “when there are serious reasons to believe that the document presented is not related to the person who presents it” . The manager will then be able to request “an official document containing his photograph”.
transport and travel
The vaccination pass will be compulsory in interregional public transport (planes, trains, coaches). However, the bill provides for an exception. In the event of “compelling family or health reasons”, it will be possible to be exempted from the vaccination pass subject to presenting a negative test, “except in the event of an emergency”.
Notable exception, connections with Corsica and Overseas are not affected by the vaccination pass. In cruises, it will be required from 50 passengers.
Political meetings
The organizers of political rallies will have the possibility, if they wish, of requiring a health pass from the participants.
Large gatherings are currently limited to a uniform gauge of 2,000 people indoors, 5,000 outdoors.
EHPAD and exempt hospitals
Access to hospitals, clinics, accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people (Ehpad) and retirement homes remains conditional on the presentation of a simple health pass (full vaccination status or negative test).
