But many of them observe on their pass an expiration date displayed 7 months after this booster dose. The expiry date actually corresponds to a “3rd dose equivalent” for someone who has not been infected. Incongruous information that would suggest that these people would need a second booster dose by then.
Why is there an expiration date?
Contacted by “Le Parisien”, the Directorate General of Health confirms this observation. This is “is linked to the fact that this (booster) injection cannot be technically decorrelated from a complete initial two-dose cycle”. Clearly, the second dose received by these French people who have been infected is not perceived by the application as a booster dose. The system therefore considers a third dose of vaccine necessary within seven months.
What should be done ?
A solution has been planned since Tuesday, February 1. Simply go to the Health Insurance (Ameli) website to download a new certificate. This will be a new version of the certificate which clearly shows that the famous recall has been made.
