(CercleFinance.com) – BMW Group and Valeo have announced a new cooperation aimed at developing fully automated parking technologies up to level 4 autonomy.
The two companies signed this strategic cooperation agreement in January for the joint development of high-end and innovative parking features.
All of the functions, from the automated maneuvering aid to the automated valet parking system, will be based on technologies and sensors integrated into the vehicle.
The two partners will also develop a range of infrastructure services to provide fully automated parking and charging functionality in public places and car parks.
