Valérie Bègue evokes "her very beautiful relationship" with her ex-husband Camille Lacourt: Current Woman The MAG

On December 11, 2020, C8 broadcast the documentary The real life of your Misses. In the latter, Linda Hardy, Chloé Mortaud, Rachel Legrain-Trapani, Nathalie Marquay-Pernaut and Valérie Bègue return to their coronation in the Miss France competition. Crowned Miss Réunion then Miss France 2008, Valérie Bègue notably accepted, in parallel, to open up about their private life. She returned to her relationship with swimmer Camille Lacourt as well as their breakup. She talks about it while touring the city of Marseille, the cradle of their idyll. "My ex-husband was training here, she recalls. I joined him very quickly. I lived here for 6 years. I went down in 2010 or 2011 when I met him. We had our daughter here. We built a nice life. It is my city of heart." Valérie Bègue is indeed the mother of a little Jazz, born eight years ago from her old love affair with Camille Lacourt.

"We come every year to the Calanques, she continues. It is a compulsory passage. She was born here, she feels so Marseille. She always says that she is first from Réunion and then from Marseille. She is deeply attached, anchored to this region."

During the documentary, she announces in front of the camera that her ex-husband "takes care of it very well" : "We've been divorced for some time. We are fortunate to still have a great relationship, to have a great family, rejoices the former Miss. She has her daddy who takes care of her very well. And his mother-in-law. I have peace of mind."

A discreet family life away from the cameras

Regarding the impact that the Miss France pageant had on her private and family life – a significant impact since it allowed her to meet the athlete, in 2010 -, Miss France 2008 admits: "Her father and I are both well known in the media. His father because he was a great swimming champion. Me, I was known thanks to my title of Miss France."But she insists on the other hand on her will not to "impose media coverage" to his daughter. "I think that would be unfair. I don't want to expose it. It must be her choice, when she is old enough ", assures the former beauty queen.

For good reason, on her Instagram account, if the young mother shares from time to time pictures of her daughter, it is always taking care to hide her face.
