Valneva announced Friday that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its single-dose chikungunya vaccine for people ages 18 and older.
The French drugmaker said it plans to begin selling the IXCHIQ vaccine in the United States early next year.
“Continued authorization for this indication is subject to verification of clinical benefit in one or more confirmatory trials,” Valneva said in a statement.
