Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 lands at The Chinese Room


Announced in March 2019 then close to cancellation with the withdrawal of the Harsuit Labs studio in 2021, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 finally sees its future taking shape. The sequel to the role-playing game released in 2004 sees its development entrusted to the British studio The Chinese Room.

Became a subsidiary of the Sumo Digital group in 2018, the studio is notably known for Dear Esther released in 2012, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs in 2013, or more recently Little Orpheus launched in 2020. In addition to the first-person narrative horror game Still Wakes the Deep supposed to be released in early 2024, The Chinese Room is therefore working on the development of Bloodline 2.

If of course no release date has yet been announced, the teams are still aiming for a release at the end of 2024. And, at the same time, are planning a gameplay presentation for next January.

However, the frame provided for the title does not change. So Bloodline 2 remains an action-RPG in first person view whose story will take place in Seattle. In the skin of a vampire, players will aim to hunt and find blood to survive. But of course, all this will not happen without having to follow some rules established by the factions of vampires. Clans about which we should learn more by the end of the year if we are to believe the official site of Bloodline 2 which plans to release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
