A work accident killed a 59-year-old man on Wednesday. The Viennese was in the process of unloading heavy blocks of stone in a company in Lower Austria. One of them fell over and buried the worker under it.
The dramatic accident happened in the morning around 8 a.m. in Traiskirchen in the Baden district. The Viennese from the Leopoldstadt district was just unloading a transporter, which had loaded blocks of stone weighing around five tons each. Freed by colleaguesCo-workers witnessed the accident and were able to free the man. After first aid, the victim was admitted to the Baden State Clinic. However, the 59-year-old succumbed to his injuries a little later.
