Shortly after midnight, the three young people from Völkermarkt jumped into a strange car that was parked near a gas station in the municipality of Griffen. They ripped off the mirrors and damaged the windshield and fender. Before that, they destroyed a soap dispenser in a public toilet facility. The car belonged to a Croatian.
