Vandalized churches in Seine-Saint-Denis: Gérald Darmanin announces the opening of two investigations

The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin announced this Wednesday evening the opening of two investigations after acts of vandalism committed in the churches of Romainville and Bondy, in Seine-Saint-Denis.

“Support for Catholics in our country following acts of vandalism which have affected several places of worship in recent days,” the minister wrote on Twitter, referring to “unacceptable acts”.

The two churches, Saint-Pierre de Bondy and Saint-Germain-l’Auxerrois in Romainville, were burgled in the same night from Sunday to Monday. Thefts and acts of desecration were noted there. The diocese of Saint-Denis-en-France lodged a complaint.
