Veolia Environnement: final results of the takeover bid for Suez

(Boursier.com) – The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has just communicated the final result of the public takeover offer initiated by Veolia and relating to the company’s shares Suez. According to information communicated by Euronext Paris, 363,641,261 Suez shares were tendered to the offer.

In total, based on the number of shares in circulation at November 30, 2021, Veolia is able to hold 551,451,261 shares, representing 86.22% of the capital and voting rights of Suez.

Veolia has therefore requested the reopening of the offer for a period which will extend from January 12 to 27, 2022 (inclusive). This reopening will allow shareholders who have not tendered their shares to do so under unchanged conditions.

Veolia also confirms its intention to proceed with the squeeze-out and delisting of Suez shares in the event that the number of shares not presented for the offer by minority shareholders of Suez do not represent, at the end of of the reopened offer, more than 10% of the capital and voting rights of Suez.
