Verona Pooth knows how to put himself in the limelight.

"I'm lucky enough to be satisfied with myself and my appearance," explains Verona Pooth. In an interview, she explains what she does to achieve this.
"My appearance is part of my capital and plays an important role," says Verona Pooth (52). The advertising icon, entrepreneur, presenter, model and mother has been earning her money with her appearance since she was 15. Her latest job: Brand ambassador for the new beauty brand Pacific Healthcare, or PHC for short, which relies on the active ingredients of canabidiol (CBD) and hemp. Pooth is a real cream junkie. "I have a special cream for every part of the body," explains the 52-year-old in an interview and reveals what her husband Franjo (51) envies most.
How do you manage to always look so perfect?
Verona Pooth: I eat healthy as best I can. Even when I travel a lot and then I always have to adjust my diet. Of course, a lot of sport, fitness and yoga are also part of my routine.
How much time do you invest in your appearance?
Pooth: Since I've been making money with my looks since I was 15, my appearance is part of my capital and plays an important role. That's why I take a lot of time to look well-groomed. But it always depends on the right products that I use. Of course, this helps a lot to look good quickly and effectively.
You describe yourself as an absolute cream junkie, how exactly does that show?
Pooth: It doesn't matter in the morning or in the evening, I always swear by creams. I have a special cream for each part of the body. For me, this is the best way to supply my skin with everything it needs.
What are your biggest beauty tips?
Pooth: My beauty tip for the skin is CBD. It is unbelievable what effect the newly approved active ingredient has on the skin. In general, in my opinion, the right choice of care products is important.
What do you find most beautiful about yourself?
Pooth: I am lucky to be satisfied with myself and my appearance. I especially like my charisma and my smile. But if I had something about myself that I was dissatisfied with, I would change it.
In other words, there is currently nothing that you are not satisfied with?
Pooth: I think every woman has little things that she would like to change. But you should concentrate on what you like about yourself.
What does your husband Franjo like about you?
Pooth: Well, I hope he finds everything about me beautiful! Most of all he envies my skin complexion. Five minutes of sunshine is enough for me and I look like new – original Franjo. (laughs)
The big appearance on the red carpet has not existed for months: Do you miss the thunderstorm of flashlights?
Pooth: I'm slowly missing the team of photographers. We've gotten really close over the years. There is a give and take on the red carpet and always a great deal of excitement. Also just to meet friends and colleagues who you normally only see at events and to chat. Drink a glass or two of champagne and have fun.
Do you dress up in lockdown at home too?
Pooth: It really depends on my mood. There are days when I really want to dress up. Fortunately, my job continues as TV shows are still allowed. I've just finished shooting commercials for Sky – we were there for three days as a whole family: hair, make-up, styling – the full program. It was a lot of fun and a great change. But of course there are also days when I just want to sit relaxed on the couch with my little dog Piccolina.
How do you pass the time?
Pooth: I prefer to spend the time with my job. I love to work a lot and I like to get involved in new projects. My prime time is of course the children and Franjo! But I also really enjoy doing yoga to balance things out.
