Verona Pooth: "Playboy" photos, her son "would not have survived"

In their "Poothcast" Verona Pooth and her son San Diego talked about what he would have thought of "Playboy" photos of his mother.

If Verona Pooth (52) had taken "Playboy" photos when she was younger, her son San Diego would obviously have found it terrible today. The 16-year-old reveals this in a new episode of the joint "Poothcast", a podcast that has been on "Audio Now" since the end of July.

The fresh issue is all about headlines and dealing with the press. Pooth explains that in the past, many celebrities have suffered from being given the wrong image by the media. "Some of them took 'Playboy' photos when they were young. Not me now, but just as an example …", explains the presenter, actress and entrepreneur. "Fortunately," interjects her son. He was "so grateful for that, really, you can't imagine that."

"You would have survived that already"

"Oh God, you would have survived that already," Pooth replies. But San Diego is certain: "I really would not have survived that, I think. Seriously …" Pooth himself does not find such things bad at all. It is more likely that celebrities would have suffered from "lying stories" being told or things being falsified.

"I always say, I'm a tough cookie and I'm old enough to be pretty good with the media." For years she was a "media darling". With the many positive headlines she "felt good". But suddenly the tide turned. Suddenly it was partially "torn up" by the press. There were also reports that she had to take legal action against. The lawyer advised her after many years: "Verona, don't always take everything to heart. (…) Nobody has managed to be always popular." Anyone who is in public will get to know both sides.
