Veronica Ferres' daughter Lilly Krug has fledged and moved out. The actress first had to deal with the fact that her child is now going its own way.
Veronica Ferres, 55, is currently shooting the film "Back on the Ice" in Bad Tölz, Munich and Füssen, which will be shown on ARD in autumn. The subject of the flick is particularly close to the heart of the versatile actress. "The film 'Back on the Ice' is about letting go and reinventing a mother when her daughter moves out and her own life begins. The empty nest syndrome is an important topic that receives far too little attention in our society" , the actress explained in an interview with "t-online".

The Empty Nest Syndrome describes a feeling of loneliness and sadness that can arise after the children leave the parental home. The 55-year-old can identify with this feeling very well, after all, she finds herself in a situation similar to her role in the film "Back on the Ice". "My daughter has moved out, is studying in Los Angeles and is living her own life. Suddenly the house was pretty empty. It wasn't easy," admitted the 55-year-old.
But even if her daughter Lilly Krug, 19, no longer lives with her – Ferres went on to say that she was happy that they had a good relationship and that she could accompany her daughter on her way.
Lilly Krug follows in her mother's footsteps
In addition to studying psychology, Lilly is also working on her acting career and taking acting classes in Los Angeles. The 19-year-old has already been seen in numerous films. Among other things, she played alongside her mother and Oscar winner Casey Affleck, 45, in 2016 in the film "Salt and Fire". She was also featured in an episode of the RTL series "Der Lehrer" this month. Lilly is currently filming a thriller in Los Angeles.
Ferres is pretty impressed with how the teenage girl rocks her career. "She is so deeply relaxed on set, I can only admire that. While I had to laboriously learn to fight the excitement in front of the cameras, she grew up with it. Lilly was on set with me for the first time when she was three months old. She knows this everyday life ", said the award-winning screen heroine proudly in an interview for a charity campaign by the German fashion label Comma.
Lilly is the daughter of Veronica Ferres and her ex-husband Martin Krug, 63, with whom she was married between 2001 and 2010. She has been with financial entrepreneur Carsten Maschmeyer, 61, since 2009 – the wedding followed in 2014.
