After having made the heyday of television, on M6, TF1 or even France 2, Véronique Mounier has changed direction. In the columns of Télé-Loisirs, she gave her news.
For years, she has been one of the iconic faces of small screens. Télématin, Love is in the meadow, New look for a new life, Without taboo … Véronique Mounier has worked on TF1 as on M6, France 2 and TNT. But in recent years, the host has totally changed her life, as she confides to TV-Leisure. In 2018, she had “a click” after the death of his father and the sudden end of a project close to his heart. “I saw that as signs … But it had been running through my head for several seasons”, she explains. And it is now in her favorite field, that of health, that Véronique Mounier flourishes. Passionate about the medical field, the former presenter … has returned to school benches!
“I could have gone to medicine but I chose a doctorate in pharmacy for the same reasons: preventing people from getting sick has always been my thing, she describes to our colleagues. I resumed my studies, two full years to complete my doctorate in pharmacy with a diploma in nutrition therapy and micronutrition. And I opened my practice. “ From now on, Véronique Mounier takes care of “functional medicine” and especially his patients and “dysfunctions of their whole organism, not organ by organ”. On a daily basis, the former presenter compares her work to “a police investigation where it is a question of avoiding falling ill, of not developing autoimmune or inflammatory diseases, cancers”.
Véronique Mounrier: “I really found my passion”
“On the other hand, if there is suspicion of illness, I send them to doctors. And it’s extremely rewarding to detect early to avoid the worst. I am in prevention and it is fascinating”, rejoices Véronique Mounier, still with Télé Loisirs. And if she loved these fifteen years of TV, the nutritherapist does not regret her change of life. “I did some really cool and funny things. I had a lot of fun working. It’s like TV was the teenage years of my life. Today more mature, I really found my passion. I feel in my place and in addition I feel useful “, she adds. And could she ever come back to TV? “In life, you should never say never. (…) But if I had to come back fully to TV one day it would be to do the TV show I want.
