The trend color for 2022 is called “Very Peri”. It is a mixture of blue and purple with a reddish shade. The mix “shows us a lively, happy view of the world and a dynamic presence,” enthuses Leatrice Eiseman, Managing Director of the Pantone Color Institute. But how do we best combine “Very Peri”?
The good thing first: Unlike the bright yellow “Illuminating” from the previous year, “Very Peri” offers numerous styling options. To start with, accessories in the new trend color, such as a clutch or a scarf, are essential. More daring can combine trousers or a skirt in “Very Peri” with other pieces.
Neutral nuances such as beige or cream are perfect companions for the lilac tone and give rise to the first fever of spring. Of course, black pants go well with the purple blouse, but you run the risk that the outfit as a whole looks rather gloomy. Then I prefer styling à la Lady Gaga (35). The US singer wore the premiere of the film “House of Gucci” in November 2021 in London an all-over look in striking purple.
The 35-year-old combined her floor-length purple robe with flutter sleeves and a train with black glittering gloves, mesh suspenders in matching colors that exposed a lot of skin, and rough high-heeled boots with platform soles. She also wore a wide chain in gold and silver as well as matching earrings and a bracelet. She picked up the bright color of her dress for her make-up: in addition to purple eyeshadow with glitter pigments, Lady Gaga wore black kohl and mascara as well as nude lip gloss.
Duchess Kate loves purple
Duchess Kate (40) regularly proves that shades of purple harmonize perfectly with green. At a public appearance in London, Prince Williams (39) wife decided on an elegant, relaxed combination of a khaki-colored culottes and a long-sleeved top in aubergine. Instead of the dark purple, of course, a piece in the trend color 2022 also fits perfectly.
