Victoria Beckham: Despite cancellation, she earned a million on Spice Girls Tour

She cashed in without having sung a single note: Victoria Beckham (46) is said to have earned about a million pounds (around 1.2 million euros) on last year's Spice Girls reunion tour – and she never once stood with Emma Bunton (44), Geri Horner (47), Mel B (45) and Mel C (46) at the 13 concerts on stage.

As the British tabloid "The Sun" reports, the original members of the Girl Group are still entitled to a fifth of the income generated from sponsorship contracts, license deals and merchandising thanks to old contracts. An insider told the paper, "That means the rest of the group will have to give them a lot of money given the old magic that the group conjured up."

Ironic turn

The money blessing does not come at a bad time for Victoria Beckham: For her fashion label it has not been going smoothly for several years. The company is said to be in the red. According to "Handelsblatt", it should have made a minus of around 14.4 million euros in 2018 alone.

"The irony of the payout is that Victoria distanced herself from the Spice Girls when she tried to get a foothold as a fashion designer," the Sun insider said.
