VIDEO – “Money thrown in the trash”: Martin Blachier warns about tests during the Omicron wave

This Wednesday, January 5, Pascal Praud broadcast an extract from Martin Blachier’s passage the day before on the CNews antenna, in which the epidemiologist warned about the massive tests which were carried out following the arrival of the Omicron variant. For the scientist, “the money was thrown in the trash.”

This is not the first time that Martin Blachier gives his opinion on the tests that have been made since the start of the Omicron wave. Present in the show The Hour of the Pros this Monday, January 3, he considered that it was a “phantom wave“and that this new variant was a” media and testing “phenomenon:”Omicron, I called it the phantom wave, which is to say that it is a wave that we would not have seen if we had not tested people (…) This Omicron wave was a panic phenomenon produced by massive testing, which made us afraid with the number of cases“, detailed the scientist. In a sequence dated the day before and unveiled by Pascal Praud this Wednesday, January 6, the epidemiologist has once again expressed himself on the tests carried out during the Omicron wave.

Once again, the person did not mince his words: “It didn’t stop the wave from rising, it stopped people from celebrate Christmas and New Years Day when most of the people in the families were being tested, it cost a fortune. I wonder if it’s not the money that is directly thrown in the trash, he explained, believing that “it creates anxiety that is useless. “And to continue his reasoning:”The worst part is that it has an additional cost becausewe test people, we isolate them, so that is to say, we completely block the economy. We pay a billion a month to hurt ourselves, to destroy our economy and prevent people from having their holiday season. I find it totally crazy“, was annoyed Martin Blachier.

Martin Blachier not convinced by the vaccine pass

In a message posted on Twitter this Tuesday, January 4, the epidemiologist also gave his opinion on the vaccine pass, debated in the National Assembly at the beginning of the week, and to which he is visibly opposed. “Collective risk no longer exists“, asserted the scientist.”Any deprivation of liberty must be justified by a scientifically established risk of collapse of the health system and not an individual risk (…) Freedom must once again become our primary value“, wrote Martin Blachier on the social network. It is said.
